New for Fall: Handcrafted Halloween & Thanksgiving Creations by G. DeBrekht

There is something special about decorating for fall. As summer fades, our homes begin to change—pumpkins appear by the front door, warm autumn colors return to the dining table, and familiar Halloween characters come out for another season.

At G. DeBrekht Artistic Studios, this is also one of our favorite times to create.

For more than 30 years, our artists have been bringing holidays to life through original artwork and handcrafted décor. This season, we are excited to introduce several new Halloween and Thanksgiving creations, designed in our California art studio and handcrafted in the USA.

From a mischievous black cat welcoming trick-or-treaters to a colorful Thanksgiving turkey ready for the family table, each new piece was created to bring a little more personality—and art—to fall decorating.

Meet Our New Happy Thanksgiving Turkey

Thanksgiving decorating is all about warmth, family, and gathering together, and our newest turkey was designed with exactly that feeling in mind.

The Happy Thanksgiving Turkey Wooden Tabletop Decoration features a whimsical turkey dressed in a traditional pilgrim hat, surrounded by richly patterned tail feathers in beautiful shades of orange, rust, red, and brown. Autumn leaves, floral details, and a cheerful “Happy Thanksgiving” greeting complete the design.

Unlike a simple flat tabletop sign, the wooden components assemble onto a base to create a dimensional display. It can become a centerpiece on a Thanksgiving table or add seasonal color to a mantel, kitchen counter, buffet, entryway, or shelf. When Thanksgiving is over, the pieces can be disassembled for easier seasonal storage.

We especially love the idea of making assembly part of the Thanksgiving tradition—children can help put the decoration together and find the perfect place for the turkey each year.

Halloween Gets a Little More Playful

Halloween gives our artists permission to have fun.

Instead of making Halloween décor overly frightening, we love combining classic spooky imagery with colorful artwork, whimsical characters, and unexpected details. This year's new pieces were designed so they can work in family homes while still creating that unmistakable Halloween atmosphere.

One of the most unusual additions is our Happy Halloween Wooden Wall Hanger with 3 Hanging Decorations.

The multi-piece construction creates movement and dimension that you don't get from an ordinary seasonal wall sign. Hang it on a wall, door, covered entryway, or another favorite Halloween decorating spot to instantly introduce a festive focal point.

It is the kind of decoration that can become part of the family's Halloween collection and return every October.

A Haunted Tree Made for Halloween Collectors

For customers who love decorating tabletops, mantels and Halloween displays, we created something completely different this year: the Halloween Haunted Tree Wooden Ornament Display.

This piece brings together two things we love creating—detailed wooden artwork and collectible ornaments—in one Halloween display.

Place it on an entryway table to greet guests, make it part of a Halloween mantel arrangement, or build a larger display around it with pumpkins, candles and other seasonal decorations. Because it is decorative from the tabletop up, it also makes a wonderful centerpiece for spaces where a traditional wall or door decoration isn't practical.

And, of course, it is made for people who believe Halloween deserves its own tree.

Say "Boo!" at the Front Door

Sometimes one character is all it takes to set the mood.

Our new Boo Cat Halloween Wooden Door Hanger brings a playful black-cat personality to the front door and offers an easy way to transform an everyday entrance for October.

A door hanger is often the first Halloween decoration visitors see, so we wanted this one to feel like a piece of artwork rather than a mass-produced seasonal sign. The illustrated design makes it equally at home on a front door, porch, entryway wall, or inside the house as part of a larger Halloween display.

Pair it with pumpkins and autumn foliage for a traditional fall entrance, or surround it with bats, cobwebs and lanterns when you're ready for full Halloween mode.

Created by Artists, Made for Your Traditions

Our new fall collection continues something that has always been important to G. DeBrekht: holiday decorations should feel personal.

We don't want a decoration to be something you use once and forget. We want it to become the turkey that comes out before Thanksgiving dinner, the black cat the children remember seeing on the door every October, or the Halloween display everyone looks forward to assembling again.

That is why our seasonal pieces begin with artwork and are developed in our California studio with attention to shape, color, construction and the little details that give each character its personality.

The result is holiday décor designed to become part of the memories surrounding it.

Start Decorating for Fall

Whether your fall style is playful Halloween, traditional harvest, or a little of both, the new G. DeBrekht creations make it easy to add handcrafted artwork throughout your home.

Start at the front door with Boo Cat, create a Halloween display with the Haunted Tree, add dimension to a wall with our Happy Halloween hanger, and then transition your home from spooky October nights to the warm colors of Thanksgiving with our new turkey tabletop decoration.

Fall only comes once a year. Make the decorating part of the celebration.
